Terms of service

Draft. This page is a starting draft and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it reviewed and finalized before PawPath launches.
These terms are an agreement between you and PawPath. By creating an account you agree to them.
What PawPath is
PawPath is a marketplace that connects dog owners with independent dog walkers. Walkers are not employees of PawPath. PawPath does not itself provide dog walking services.
Who can use PawPath
- Dog owners must be 18 or older.
- Walkers must be at least 13. Walkers under 18 need a parent or legal guardian to consent, approve the account, and take responsibility for the walker's use of PawPath, including payouts.
- Every walker must be approved by PawPath before taking bookings. We may decline or remove any account.
Bookings and payment
- Walkers set their own prices. The price is shown before an owner books.
- Owners pay by card when they request a walk. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- PawPath keeps a service fee from each walk. The rest is paid to the walker.
- If a walker declines, or either side cancels before the walk starts, the owner receives a full refund.
Owner responsibilities
- Give accurate information about your dog, including behavior and health issues a walker should know about.
- Make sure your dog is licensed and vaccinated as the law requires.
- Provide a safe way for the walker to collect and return your dog.
Walker responsibilities
- Arrive on time and complete the walk you accepted.
- Keep the dog leashed and under control, follow the owner's care notes, and clean up after the dog.
- Keep location sharing on during the walk and submit an honest walk report.
- Follow local laws that apply to you, including any rules about work by minors.
Conduct
Keep bookings, messages and payments inside the app. Harassment, unsafe behavior, or misuse of another person's information will result in removal.
Liability
Dogs can be unpredictable. To the extent the law allows, PawPath is not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from a walk arranged through the service. Owners and walkers are responsible for their own conduct.
